The beginnings Nicols Artisan Jewelers was born in Madrid at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1917, the first generation of the family ventured into the art of goldsmithing. Don Vicente Nicolás Sr. began working in the world of jewelry as a representative of various international brands.

It is with the next generation, with his son Vicente Nicolás, that the brand is created. After his training at the School of Arts and Crafts where he studied sculpture, painting, and perfected his technique in jewelry design, he began to get involved in the creation of the firm's collections. With his restless spirit and artistic sensitivity, the young man made his way into the world of jewelry, establishing a brand with a strong identity in the 1980s.

The first Nicols boutique opened its doors on Serrano Street in 1978. Two years later, the stores on Calle Goya at numbers 12 and 55 were inaugurated, which to this day continue to be two strong pillars of the firm. Later, the Nicols family incorporated the establishment at Serrano 86, a boutique that integrates the artisan workshop and the headquarters.

Since the year 2000, the children of Vicente Nicolás have taken the reins of the company. Cinthya Nicolás, general director of Grupo Nicols, holds a degree in Economic and Business Sciences. She developed her professional career as a Financial Director in several companies before taking charge of the purchasing and finance branch of the jewelry brand. Additionally, she greatly enjoys developing her more creative side by designing new collections for the firm. In these years leading Nicols, Cinthya has brought the perfect combination of efficiency and good taste that has driven the firm towards continuous growth. Daniel Nicolás is the vice president of Nicols. After graduating in Business Administration and Management from ICADE University, he completed a Master's degree at the University of California specializing in Marketing. For three years he worked as an investment advisor at Deutsche Bank and later moved to San Diego (California) where he focused on managing a technology company. He returned to Spain in 2006 to join the family business, balancing his work with his studies in gemology and becoming certified in diamonds, pearls, and precious stones. Both members of the third generation promoted, in 2007, the opening of the boutique on Calle José Ortega y Gasset 11, in Madrid. A space located in the heart of the Golden Mile, surrounded by the best international luxury brands.

Nicols artisan jewelers Madrid 1917 has always maintained a young spirit and strives to listen to its customers, continuously improve, and offer the best quality-price-service ratio, which has always characterized the brand throughout its history and continues to allow it to lead Spanish luxury jewelry while making a difference.

In 2013, the company launched its website www.nicols.es, initially conceived as an online catalog of products available for sale, but which quickly became one of the most important jewelry websites in Spain, with more than 4,000 items available.

In 2015, Nicols launched Nicols TV, an online channel offering interview programs, product unboxings, and news from the watchmaking world, as well as launching the Joyería Nicols YouTube channel where you can enjoy the latest jewelry news.

In 2017, the brand's flagship boutique on the prestigious Serrano street, number 86, renewed its image and expanded its facilities, creating a unique space to welcome VIP clients and a small exhibition of precious stones, antique tools, and historical elements from the jewelry workshop.

At the end of 2019, the Nicols family opened a new flagship store dedicated exclusively to jewelry, located at 17 Goya Street, representing a very personal commitment by the family, in which their love for jewelry and belief in the "savoir faire" of their pieces led them to create a store dedicated solely to them.

In 2020, with the expansion of one of its most established boutiques in Madrid, the store on Calle Goya 55 made a significant investment to unify the Nicols Joyeros Artesanos Madrid 1917 brand image across all its points of sale, preparing for the international leap.
